Meet the dentist Dr. Sharon S. Jordan currently maintains a private practice located at 2614 Cherokee Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31204 where she parcticed as professional dentist for over 20 years. Dr. Jordan’s dental office provides up-to-date dental care by combining a pleasing and comfortable surrounding with the latest dental equipment and computers. Her staff includes a dental hygienist who provides regular cleanings and other preventative dental care for patients.
Her postgraduate continuing education courses consist of the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education. She maintains memberships in the American Orthodontic Society, American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, National Dental Association, Georgia Dental Society, Bibb County Dental Society, and the North Georgia Dental Society.
Personal Life Dr. Sharon S. Jordan was born in Macon, Georgia to the parentage of Mr. Jessie R. Snell, Sr and Ms. Mazie Snell. She is the 6th of 8 children consisting of 2 girls and 6 boys. She is the proud mother of a daughter, Tamecia Jordan, who lives in Wappingers Falls, New York, and works as a Computer Engineer with IBM.
Education
Dr. Jordan attended L.H. Williams, Unionville, and Matilda Hartley Elementary Schools, where she finished as valedictorian of her class in 1968. She also attended Ballard A and Southwest High Schools, where she was a member of the cheering squad, track team, Beta Club, and Homecoming Queen in 1973. She later earned a B.S. Degree in Biology from Mercer University, and then went on to the Medical College of Georgia (MCG), School of Dentistry, where she completed her studies for the Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree.
Community Involvement Dr. Jordan has spearheaded school based dental health screening at Morgan Elementary School, and L.H. Williams Elementary School. She credits a great deal of her success to other pillars of the community including Dr. Lindsey Jackson and the late Dr. D.T. Walton, Jr. She also received part of her early training in private practice in Roberta Georgia while completing her obligation to the National Health Service Corps. She gives all honor and glory to God, and is a member of the World Changers Church International where the Dr. Creflo A. Dollar is her pastor.
